The new MSX 3000 meets all standards for sophisticated, modern PCBA inspections. The system may be integrated in the production and become part of the production line. Together with a collaborating partner, MST has developed the IPCT technology (inline planar computed tomography), which reconstructs images of excellent quality and has consequently a very low pseudo error rate.

The implemented reconstruction algorithm is the fastest to date and allows three-dimensional tests even at high throughputs. The created slices after the reconstruction allows then to show the well-defined testable front and back sides of complex boards. The system’s flexibility has yet to be matched. The user can combine different test strategies based on the 2-D (transmission and off-axis) and 3-D testing capabilities using automatically generated test programs. Manual inspections are also possible.

The new MSX 3000I allows fast, efficient and safe inspections in the production line. As an innovative inspection system it clears the way to new horizons for the desired depth of test combined with high speed.
