One of the most important international electronics manufacturing events in the Bohai Region of North China, BEW 2008, will open its doors from the 10th to 12th November at the Tianjin International Exhibition Center. Set to be bigger than ever, Reed Exhibitions China invites visitors to enjoy a roundup of products and services from the entire electronics manufacturing chain, from components and assembly technology, to quality control and subcontracting services. The event will again provide an excellent brand building platform on which to generate sales leads and bring trade professionals, buyers and decision makers together in one of the fastest growing markets in China.

BEW 2007 attracted an impressive 3782 visitors, 93 percent of whom were keen to express an interest in visiting the 2008 event. Numbers are expected to far exceed those of 2007, with 5000 already targeted to visit more than 100 leading industry names from Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and North America. Key companies from the electronics industry will be displaying their latest products and services, including A&P, Autoveyor, Ellsworth, Evest, Mirae, MIRTEC, Musashi, Nihon Superior, Panasonic, Shimadzu, Toshiba, Tronic and many more. The success of previous events is attracting even more prestigious industry names, including Panasonic who makes it debut at BEW 2008 with the exciting launch of a new machine that features new placement head technology, increased line set-up flexibility, higher productivity and quality.

An extension of the highly successful Reed Exhibitions NEPCON brand in North China, BEW 2008 will encompass SMT equipment, test and measurement, assembly tools, and electronics components and consumables - in other words, the world of electronics all under one roof. Also, visitors will benefit from the event’s first live demonstration of a full SMT Line with the following companies taking part: Aleader, Desen, Scienscope. Another big attraction undoubtedly will be the SMTA China North Conference 2008 being held in conjunction with BEW. The conferences will take place during the entire event and will address the industry’s most pressing issues concerning electronics manufacturing, advanced packaging and lead-free reliability. Visitors can choose from a host of key topics, including 01005 assembly, 3D SiP, challenges of PCB fabrication technology and surface finish, flex circuit assembly, and manufacturing engineering.

The Bohai Bay Area includes two municipalities directly under the central government of Beijing - Tianjin, and the provinces of Liaoning, Hebei and Shandong with the economic hinterland covering North China, Northeast China, Northwest China and the Central Plains. The significant economic development of this region will directly impact the general economic development of greater northern China. Adjacent to Japan and Korea, it is located at the central part of the Northeast Asia economic zone and serves as a gateway for trade and international economic cooperation. As one of the most economically vigorous regions in the orient, Northeast Asia accounts for 20 percent of total GDP in the world and more than 70 percent in Asia. As a result, most experts in China's economic circle believe that North China is a fertile ground for business with regional economies. The electronic information manufacturing industry plays a leading role in the economic development of The Bohai Bay Area.
