Orpro Vision, that recently acquired the European and American AOI business from Orbotech, is consolidating its presence in Europe by appointing partners among the most experienced distribution and customer support companies serving the SMT market.
Alfa Test, based in Timisoara, Romania, is a well established company that works in the field of test equipment and solutions for printed circuit assemblies since 2002. Its mission is to provide professional services combining sales and technical advice with cost / efficiency analysis.
The company will distribute Orpro Vision’s AOI systems and software in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia and Bosnia.
The CEO at Orpro Vision, Roberto Gatti, explains their choice: “Alfa Test is well experienced in our AOI solutions because it has already been Orbotech’s distributor for more than three years. The term/concept of synergy seems very apt when applied to the
interaction of the Occam process solderless assembly concept in
combination with a unique PCB interconnection technology called twisted
wire interconnect or TWI. 
Fortunately even the most conservative most prognosticators now see at least a subdued “recovery” in 2010.
