 Production automation system supplier, Contax Ltd, has hailed their recent Technology Exhibition Open Days as a great success with a very good level of interest shown in the variety of “live” equipment.
“One of the reasons for our success was the wide range of systems on display along with a full production line ” explained Bob Thornton, Director of PCB Division at Contax Ltd.
“We exhibited a good amount of the new Vantage range of equipment for the first time; a range of conveyors and a six zone full force convection reflow oven featured in the production line. Also on display were the latest products from industry leaders such as Komax, Essemtec, Omron, Rommel, Kolb, Pillarhouse, Universal and phoenix x|ray.
“In all, we had 20 products on show many of them new to the UK. These covered a wide range of processes, from board handling, laser marking, printing, placement, soldering, dispensing, x-ray and inspection to storage and wire processing,” he said.
“Within the portfolio, we offer a wide selection of systems suitable for all levels of production, with proven high flexibility for all batch sizes with high or low changeover needs. In this way, we can offer machines that provide the best possible fit for the customer’s requirements - or even tailor the system for their specific needs. This is in contrast to the traditional approach of providing a compromise solution”.
Contax was kept busy continuously over the 4 days of the exhibition, with visitors who spent time discussing their requirements and methods to achieve these aims.
“Furthermore, the Technology Exhibition provided us with a stage from which to display a good range of our latest products to our existing and potentially new customers, many of whom traveled considerable distances to visit us. In all, it was a success in every way,” he ended.
