HVR Advanced Power Components, Inc., a leading global supplier of engineered, high-energy, ceramic-carbon resistors, has announced that they have achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for the design, assembly and distribution of electronic resistors.
The certification was awarded following a comprehensive, independent audit by SRI Quality System Registrar of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Audit findings determined that HVR has demonstrated effective implementation of a world-class quality management system at their Tonawanda-based manufacturing facility.
Notes company president, David J. Yanko, “We are pleased that our commitment to excellence in all aspects of our organization has been recognized by the registrar. We hope that this certification shall reaffirm to our customers, employees, distributors and the community our firm commitment to continuous quality improvement across all facets of HVR’s business operations.”
Added Ron Wills, Quality Assurance Manager, "The full commitment, participation and effort of our team were among the most critical elements to achieving certification. Our future plans involve further improvements to our Quality Management System, and transition from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008 by May 2010."
