PVA, the global leader in selective coating technology, introduces the FC100-CF non-atomized film coating valve for solvent-based chemistries requiring superior edge definition and control. The FC100-CF is ideal for building wet film thicknesses of 0.008” (0.2 mm) and above while promoting robotic coating speeds of up to 19.7 in/sec (500 mm/sec). The combination of sharp edge definition and rapid coating speeds make the film coat process an ideal selection for optimizing quality and throughput in your selective process.
The FC100-CF features interchangeable film coat nozzles and a micrometer flow adjustment permitting variable flow rates. A stainless steel fluid body makes the FC100-CF compatible with all commercially available coating materials.
“We are excited about the capabilities of the FC100-CF valve,” stated Frank Hart, Sales and Marketing Manager of PVA. “This technology offers our coating partners an option to generate significant, controlled film builds of low viscosity (100cps and under) chemistries faster and more accurately than ever. For these materials, the improvements can result in coating speeds three to four times more efficient than an atomized alternative.”
The FC100-CF produces film patterns widths ranging from 0.3” (8 mm) to 0.5” (12 mm) and is available on all PVA350, PVA650, and PVA2000SF selective coating platforms.
