The State of the Indian PCB industry

The production out-put of the PCB industry is on the rise at an approximate growth rate of 30-40% overall for the year 2008-2009. The last three years growth rate is 25% aggregate. Increase in domestic Electronics market and export market to Europe and US has brought in enough boosts to the PCB industry. Read more....

Training Programs during IPCA Expo 2008 & Activities of IPCA’s Technical Competence Centres

An Industry Association Centre (IATC) has been established by IPCA jointly with IPC, USA as a registered society for training technical personnel of PCB/Assembly industry on IPC specs. Viz. IPC 610 D and IPC 600 G by trained and approved certified trainers by IPC, USA. Already five certification courses have been conducted at various places in the country and 65 candidates have been trained successfully.

IATC is conducting a certifying course on IPC 610 D for ten candidates during the IPCA expo 2008. The venue is PMCC Conference Hall, Koramangala, Bangalore during 8-11 September 2008. Read more....

WECC & AFEC Annual Meetings during IPCA Expo 2008

The biggest highlight of this year’s Expo is IPCA hosting for the first time in India the Annual meeting of the World Electronic Circuits Council (WECC) with all the Chairman and Presidents, Vice Presidents, Technical Council Members, General Managers of all the eight global Printed Circuits Associations such as IPC-USA, CPCA, EIPC, HKPCA, KPCA, JPCA, TPCA and IPCA joining together in the deliberations of this world Printed Circuit Associations’ meeting to promote the various and mutual programmes of associations to the betterment and progress of the global printed circuit board industry.

IPCA will host a reception for the WECC members at 8:30 AM on September 2, 2008 in Hall No. 4, Convention Centre (ground floor), where the WECC ( World Electronic Circuits Council) Annual Meeting will be held from 2:00 PM onwards on the same day.

AFEC (Asian Federation of Electronic Circuits) meeting will be arranged in the same hall (Hall No. 4) in the same setting for the AFEC members after the WECC Meeting.
