Electroforming & photo-etching company Stork Veco, based in the Netherlands, has developed an improved stencil for component and ink printing industries, such as MLCC or LTCC manufacturers. The new stencil solves common problems caused by traditional emulsion screens, such as non-uniform printing, limited precision or short screen life.
The VecoDual stencil is built up from pure hard nickel by means of a two layer electroforming process. Alignment of the two layers is perfect, custom-made for this specific stencil. With emulsion screens, a random alignment of mesh and product definition is always the case; therefore good uniformity or small print definition can never be obtained. The custom-designed grid layer of a VecoDual stencil, however, results in a 100 % controlled open area over all the patterns. This will result in perfectly uniform and reproducible printing results. www.storkveco.com |
