IAR Systems announces IAR Embedded Workbench for Atmels new AVR32 32-bit embedded CPU core. The AVR32 architecture, in combination with IAR Embedded Workbench for AVR32, enables development of demanding applications, such as consumer infotainment, point of sales terminals, biometric scanners, voice recognition and motion detection.
The IAR Embedded Workbench for AVR 32 C/C++ compiler optimizes the execution of both sequential and parallel arithmetic operations. Compiled code requires 1/3 to 1/2 as many cycles to execute and requires as little as 1/2 as much code storage compared with competing 32-bit embedded microprocessor cores. IAR Embedded Workbench for AVR32 also features debug functionality.
IAR Embedded Workbench for AVR 32 will be made world-wide available at the time of Atmels first introduction of AVR 32 parts. The full-featured version of IAR Embedded Workbench for AVR 32 will be sold at approximately $ 4,995 / EUR 4,400 per end-user license. More information on availability, evaluation versions, etc. can be found at www.iar.com/atmel |
