European Executive Forum Conference and EMS Management Meeting Àμâ À̸ÞÀÏ

Innovation is the key to profitability and marketability in today’s electronics industry. That’s the focus at the Executive Market & Technology Forum Conference and EMS Management Meeting scheduled for October10–12, 2007, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Co-developed by EIPC (European Institute for Printed Circuits) and IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries®, the international event will bring together the electronics industry supply chain, from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to equipment providers.

Leading off the three days, the EMS Management Meeting on October 10 will provide a learning and networking forum for senior level electronics manufacturing services (EMS) managers. A distinguished group of speakers will discuss strategies for success in the European EMS industry.

Stefan Herr from Simon Kucher & Partners will deliver the keynote address “Management Success in Electronics.” Charlie Wade of Technology Forecasters will discuss the global electronics market for EMS and original design manufacturers (ODM) suppliers. Rex Rozario of Graphic PLC and Konrad Wundt of Multiline International Europa will present an overview of how the European printed circuit board (PCB) industry is affecting the European EMS industry. To help build customer relationships, Praveen Gupta from Accelper Consulting will explain how executives can measure and manage innovation. The day will end with a roundtable discussion to provide attendees with time for valuable networking and collegial exchange.

Presenting the business outlook for the worldwide electronics industry, Walt Custer, Custer Consulting, will serve as the opening day (October 11) Executive Forum conference keynote speaker. On the second day, keynoter, Christian Verstraete of Hewlett-Packard will unveil the company’s vision of the future, explaining what it will require from supply chain partners. Other event highlights include presentations by Nokia and Motorola on their technology roadmaps for mobile phones, and by Maris TechCon and Schweizer Electronics on their experiences in implementing new technologies. In addition, the authors of IPC’s new commissioned studies on microelectronics and geographic expansion strategies will discuss key points, and a representative from Fuba Printed Circuits Tunisie will present a solution for improving the competitiveness of the European electronics industry.
