SMTA announces harsh environment electronics workshop Imprimir E-Mail

The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) and Auburn University are pleased to offer a new and expanded Harsh Environment Electronics workshop with a new name and expanded focus. The AIMS (automotive, industrial, military and space) Harsh Environment Electronics Workshop will be held June 13-14 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Indianapolis, IN.

Dr. John Evans, Conference Chairman and Dr. Ken Gilleo, SMTA Vice-President for Technical Programs invite you to submit an abstract to participate in this exciting program. The June workshop will once again focus on harsh environments with an added emphasis on military and space. The SMTA is soliciting abstracts that will provide new and timely information to workshop attendees on the latest developments in these areas. The workshop format will allow a significant amount of time for interaction and questions.  The abstract submission deadline is March 9, 2007.

  • Semiconductor Technology
  • Substrate Advancements
  • Connectors and Interconnect Technology
  • Lead-Free Implementation
  • Advancements in Materials
  • Next Generation Harsh Environment Automotive Systems
  • Latest Developments in Thermal Cycle Testing for Extreme Environment Electronics
  • Substrate Surface Finishes for Harsh Environment Applications
  • Chemical, Thermal and Vibration Considerations for Industrial Electronics
  • Operating Environments for Military Electronics (land, sea, air and space)
