IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries® announces that Don Schroeder, president of CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions (Moorpark, Calif.) has been appointed chairman of IPC’s Executive Market and Technology Forum Steering Committee. Schroeder replaces Jack Calderon, managing director of Lincoln International (Chicago), who served as chairman from 2003 through 2006.
The Executive Forum is an organization within IPC that is open to all IPC-member companies. Its charter is to facilitate planning and decision-making in the electronics interconnect industry by developing market research studies and conferences on topics of strategic importance to the industry. To support the Executive Forum’s mission, the steering committee provides guidance to IPC staff in planning industry market studies as well as providing a forum for interaction among PCB manufacturers and electronics manufacturing services companies, and their suppliers and customers.
“Currently, the Executive Forum has more than 150 member companies. Membership is growing because the Executive Forum delves into issues that are critical to today’s marketplace — supply chain issues, globalization, growth markets, and emerging technologies,” says Schroeder. “I’m excited to chair the Executive Forum steering committee during a time of steady industry growth. We have three conferences and seven major market studies planned for 2007, and we hope to add additional members to the Executive Forum this year.”
