 With the cost of gas and travel at record levels and no relief in sight, the “be global, stay local” adage inspired by IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition never sounded so good. Bringing the best of the global electronics industry together in one place, at one time, IPC Midwest will be held September 21–25, 2008, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center, Schaumburg, IL.
This year's show looks like it's shaping up to be even better than last. A growing list of first-time exhibitors have signed on with other leading industry companies to showcase their new products, technologies and services. Among the first-time exhibitors are BTU International, ERSA, SEHO, Sono-Tek, AIM and Asys--and many more! In all, more than 120 exhibitors will fill the floor.
IPC Midwest also offers a live SMT assembly line, free forums, a free Internet lounge, free first-timers welcome breakfast, breakfast with the presidents, a snack-and-stroll, a show floor reception and more.
 All events take place at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL. Situated 14 miles northwest of O’Hare Airport, this Northwest Chicago, Illinois hotel and convention center is just minutes from upscale dining and shopping, as well as a number of tourist attractions.
Travel
By Taxi
IPC Midwest does not recommend using the cabs in the cab lines at O’Hare or Midway airports—they will cost more than calling a suburban taxi service, such as American Taxi Service (1-877-755-2227). You will receive faster service if you reserve your taxi prior to your flight.
Parking
If you are driving, free parking is available at the convention center. Valet parking is $14.00 per day.
Trolley
The Trolley is a FREE transportation alternative, which allows visitors to travel to any of eight destinations served by the Trolley. Trolley-styled buses will pick up from the Schaumburg Renaissance Hotel & Convention Center directly in front of the hotel and visit the following destinations:
